Mostly because I hate ads, I decided that I am going to "close" this account.

No, I am not deleting it. I said "close", referring to that I won't post here often (like if I did anyway), probably not much anymore, unless I really need to.
I am tired of ads.
It seems that we can't have anything ad free these days. *looks to ads in the right side of the window* D:
Advertisements are everywhere!!!! In the TV, in the Internet, in Radio, In newspapers, in the food! AAAHHHHHH @____@

Anyway, I won't leave at all, since I'll come back sometimes to check for news on friends :)

As for network updates, specially regarding to new drawings and projects, I moved them to my BlogSpot account. Any possible rant will be posted in there as well. Probably I'll be coming back to post some resume of various updates.

ECOM San Luis?

Hahaha! Like almost two months later, here I am with comments about it.

We all know that due to problems at home and job, but specially problems regarding to my health, I had no chance to assist to 2008's ECOM San Luis, I wanted to see Homer, but well.
Hopefully I'll have the chance to go this year, if I'm still alive xD and if Humberto Velez (Simpson Homer's voice actor in Mexico) comes again.
Looks like this 2008, the event was way better compared to previous ones.

I was talking about it with my friend Yukimori, who had the chance to go, and we ended up saying that, although it was nice, there is no place for people like us anymore. Simply because most of us are old and have jobs and blah-blah-blah, and most of our fandoms are forgotten.
EVERYTHING is filled with Naruto x___x and we hate Naruto.

Anyway, he sent me some videos he found in YouTube.
I have no idea what this project is about, it's something called Anime Oshimai, and it seems like it is some kind of channel where 4 fans make reports about events and the like related to anime and game events... I think.
They made a video report about ECOM San Luis, and well, other than the camera made me feel seasick at some points @.@ the report is nice, and it let me see how the event was, and indeed, for what they show, it got better than I expected.
By the way, I was hoping to see some kind of resume in the ECOM website, but nothing.

If you are curious, I leave the two videos here, they are in spanish, 'though, but you may be able to see how it was.
The cosplayers are in the second one (I wanted the Rinoa to win D:!), and at the end of the first one you can see Humberto Velez (Homer Simpson) and Mario Castañeda (Goku).

I've heard about it before but I always found trials only. I found one some months ago when I was making some "comissions", and some other pictures (that I still have not finished, as usual) I tried it and I loved it!
Here's a link in case you didn't know about it.

It's small, smooth, does not consume ridiculous amounts of memory and has some nice tools.
I had not enough chance to test it because when I remembered (this month) that I had it while trying to "ink" some pictures, I found that my trial version expired.

Ah yes, other than trying to write again, I am drawing again! Mostly because I got a special request from my friend Kiara, and I still owe to nekokain and Hinoki the picture of our RO Guild when we used to play togheter.

Anyway... We all know that I have nothing to buy stuff online, so, I went instead to search for a keygen or something.

I know we all have at least an illegal program in our computers anyway, that's why now I am sharing the link where I found a cracked and full working SAI tool I found today (and in english! ^^).

Damn damn damn damn!
Why is it the same every fucking year? Why why why?
If I have the same problem with my websites the next year, I definitely going to close them until I get my own fucking credit card!!! D:

Now this is for real. If the payment for 2009 can be done, it will be the last year for it to be online, if not, then I'd have to say goodbye to my network for some time.

Seriously, this situation sucks, every year trying to find a mediator just to make the payment stresses me! And right now I am more than enough stressed.
But well, it's my fault for getting the site when I knew I didn't have a card since the beginning.
I tried to find options for me but since I've been always a temporary worker, I can't get one for this kind of stuff.

No, no, it's not for the money, I have it since long time ago, and I have some extra bucks just in case that dollar rises prices or definitely dissapears from earth (and some remuneration to the person who may help me), it's just that every year since I bought the site, I have to search for someone who can help me to make the payment, and I always have trouble, if not for time, the card, or whatever..
I highly appreciate when someone tries to help me, but, I came to the point of getting tired of having the same problem every year.

While I was coloring pending works (assdasdad must finish thse >___<), my friend Jayc sent me the link.

We both agreed that the video is great, the animation and the sounds were stunning and quite reminded us of Silent Hill and Tool sounds/animations.
Whoever who made it (a japanese one, for what I see), did a great work. It's pretty damn cool, specially for horror stuff lovers XD
(gotta show this to nekokain o.o!)

With the proper software, knowledge and computer, people can do cool stuff.
I'd love to do cool stuff like that, but I have nothing of the above, just a computer xD

It is the same page (layout, texts, fields and blah-blah-blah...), but the form is new.
I switched to an external service (emailme form) instead of using the old nl-php mail form. I still have no idea what was wrong with the nl one, I've seen the same error with other people using it, but who knows.

This new one has captcha as well, and so far has been working fine.
Let's see how it works within the time.

edit: I just realized that it is not xhtml valid anymore due to extensive JS on the form o_O
Meh... anyway, it works, and I won't be modifying the coding, since I know I can screw it up, so, as long as it works, I don't care.

...Not with the layout I wanted to, well, yes, the design yes, but not the image.
I had too much work and too much lazynes to finish the drawing, so, I came up with a generic picture for it, but I plan to change it as soon as finish it (lol?)

I am liek w0ah. I just read that Tekken 6 won't be on console until fall 2009... What the fuck?

But not only that... The Tekken 6 that will come to console, is going to be that Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion... AND!!! It is going to be on PS3 and XBox360?!

Damn... I don't know what to say. I'm shocked, dissapointed, hopeless... Dunno but I am loosing completely my faith on the Tekken franchise. Why?

Every new Tekken since Tekken 4 has failures. Tekken 4 was new, the wall thingies were a new challenge, although somewhat the movement speed sucked big time compared to what we were used to have in previous Tekken, but other than that the game was good, just were we players who needed to get used to it.
But... The lack of characters, moves, "originality" (combot? wtf?) and the fact that the storyline has been never the strong point of this game, made some people dislike this game so much even to call it the worst Tekken in the story.
I'd say the worst is the one for GBA but well XD

Ah, yes... My reasons...
Follow the links. I wrote them under cuts for my own sanity and to prevent spam on my friends's pages @.@

1. Incomplete/bugged games.
Tekken 5. I was so excited with this game but, here is where they started with the big problems.
The arcade version, which I never played because the arcade was so expensive and arcades are dead in my country, anyway...
For foreign player I knew abou that the arcade had a lot of bugs, this means, overpowered characters (such as Nina and Heihachi), and I think also walls had problems, so, Namco had to release some kind of patch (more money) for arcades. And there we go with Tekken 5.1
And then we had to wait for the release! What was supossed to be something special for the 10th anniversary of the Tekken franchise. And what we got was another bugged game.

2. Beta, beta 1, beta 1.1, beta 1.1.1.....
I don't know how to call this thing of Tekken: "something".
Tekken 5, followed of Tekken 5.1 (for arcade, supossed to be fixed), and the Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (for arcade and PSP).
The same stuff, just with a few changes (such as new characters or items). For what I know, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection had some changes in gameplay but it was the same as Tekken 5 for PS2.
And now they come with the same thing with Tekken 6 > Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion.

3. Storyline?
No words.
I liked the story untuil Tekken 2 and part of Tekken 3 (because it bringed Hwoarang to my world *0*), but other than that, it sucks.

4. New characters
So far... Newest characters are... Strange. And call me n00b if you want but I feel almost all of them overpowered and quite incomplete.

Since Tekken 4, because it's from here where was supossed that Namco started to become insane. First, there were just a few characters compared with previous Tekken. I remember that when I got Tekken 4, I just spent my time playing Tekken Force mode =/
Steve was decent and something new. Having a boxer was a nice addition but... I don't know if it was just my imagination but the CPU Steve kicked me once? And I can't kick with him (since he just uses punches), but Christie was just a ~~sexy~~ pallete swap of Eddie with a few new moves?

Tekken 5: Too much characters? Meh...
Hahaha! God, how I hate Raven and Asuka (well, all Kazamas but Jun) they are a pain in the ass for my Taekwon boys >.> and they shoudn't be D:
But afterall, these were decent characters (Raven, Asuka, Feng), I liked specially Feng, and the fact of bringing back old school characters was a nice idea. (I loved having Baek again!).
BUT!!!! A very early release with MORE characters (Lili and Dragunov). Damn... I was almost getting used to play with/against the new ones from 5, and now they throw more fucked up characters in DR?

Tekken 6: The new characters for Tekken 6 seemed strange, but I fell in love with Leo immediately *0*! and she, Hwoarang and Baek are probably the only reason why I could get Tekken 6 now.
They just presented to us officially 3 characters (Leo, Zafina and Miguel) and some time later, they throw us another weird character named Bob o__O (not Hwoarang)
And just arcade players (japaneses?) know about them how to play, how to challenge, but what about the rest of the fans with no arcades around?! D:
And just when we were hoping to get the game, they say NO to console and start plans for a new expansion/patch named "Bloodline Rebellion" (Dark Resurrection 2?), with TWO NEW CHARACTERS?! which, if you ask me, look so damn weird and pointless, but maybe it's just me...

5. What about non-japanese players?
Arcades in most of continents are dead. Yes, dead.
90% of we americans (America the continet, not US. US is not America) have not played Tekken 6 because the machines are so expensive and arcade owners don't want to buy them since Tekken is not a popular game such as King of Fighters, Street Fighter or those dancing games.
For what I know so far, just a few states in US and Canada have Tekken 6.

The rest of us fans with no arcades around the world who were waiting for the console release this fall, just got a 'fuck you, world ..I..'.

Loyalty?
I am not exactly a certain company/console fangirl/supporter, but if you ask me, I'd be a "Sonyer". I'll go with Sony all the way.
Maybe because most of the games I like WERE exclusively released for Sony consoles, and Sony consoles offered always to me most options more than a toy.

And now, Microsoft has been buying franchises because most of their games (other than Halo?) are not too good.
And if they are, I don't care since they are just copy/paste versions of other games.
Namco sold its soul as well (it started on Soul Calibur) and now Tekken will be on the toaster... I mean, Xbox360 when it was supossed that Tekken was an EXCLUSIVE franchise for Sony -_-

Overall, Tekken is turning good, regarding to graphics (somewhat), music, gameplay (they say? since I have not played T6), options and modes (items and stuff).
But all of the cool options are for Japan so far.

I am not saying that I don't like Tekken anymore. I still love this game, but slowly is starting to fall apart of my main interests (and my economy) and everything is making me to loose my faith on the franchise.

So far, Hwoarang, Baek and Leo are what force me to keep an eye on the game these months, and, I have not seen them in any trailer or decent footage xD
At least not in a consistent way after the first trailers where we see Hwoarang breaking the window riding his motorcycle *¬* and the introduction of Leo into the game.

I had no idea about this issue, and I still get no idea how to fix it.
My contact form was broken. For whatever reason the CAPTCHA wasn't working properly.

I already tried to re-install everything and make changes here and there, but it still seems broken and I'm tired of it.

I'll probably have to switch to another form in the meanwhile, but for now, I'll keep the same but without the captcha. Although I'm afraid to remove it, since the last time I did it, I got piles and piles of stupid spam mail, more than the usual in my junk folder (more shit offers like rolex and viagra -.-).

If anyone is still having trouble with my contact form, and have some kind of feedback, enquiry or whatever, feel free to drop me a line here, through LJ ^_^, since I am not active in forums or galleries anymore other than here, I'll probably can get back to you sooner.

This is off topic but also this situation reminds me that I should get a paid account here.

Another network post?...
After a loooong time since I promised this, I am making the "official" post with the "official" re-re-re-re...opening of my old Mathias shrine.
It has been online since some time ago anyway, but now that I can't do too much, I came to talk about it... So, there you go:

With a new design, that looks better (in my opinion) than the past i-framed layouts, re-arranged content, although it still needs some revisions, and material to be added, at least it is online again, open (officially) for visitors with 99% of the old content ^_^!

Yes, I do have some new thingies, but I am still looking for more (specially hunting for permissions x_x).
What I think is that this site lacks of translations and fan fiction content mostly.
We all know that Mathias is not as popular as Joachim (for example), this is why it's quite difficult to find good stuff about him these days that the game is old, but I'll keep trying.

Well, with nothing more to say for now, I'll go to work on the next target (Joachim), and the revamp of the Dracula/Mathias fanlisting x_x.
I can't say for sure when Joachim's site will be opened again, but I hope it will be soon.

These were added some time ago, but I am posting the "official" update until today.

I got two awesome approvals these past months. One from application at the network, the other one an adoption.

[+] Whitesmiths still need a bit of work on it. I made it in a rush since those days were before vacations and I had a lot of stuff to do at work, so, I got my first warning from TFL T____T! Noooo!!!!
[+] And the other one is the listing for the Classical crossover genre that I adopted from Sara. I was like OMG! when I got her mail saying I culd adopt it. I just love this music genre so much ;o;

Requiem collective upgraded

Whoa....... After thinking about it so much (not much really), I decided to finally upgrade my Enthusiast script, as well as the ones for my hostees.
Anyway, I had a very old script, slightly modified by me, mostly for my own whim and since I like to customize my listings and add small details here and there.
I upgraded almost everything manually, certainly I know that there are premade scripts for upgrading but I wanted to do it myself. And I had fun and learned a lot.

Well, here it is:

Requiem for the Dark Souls

All the listings are upgraded, updated, edited, and, with this, I found that there are some that are asking me desperately for a new layout (i.e. Dietrich, Jun, Juste...). Damn, I look at my old layouts and all of them are pure crap LOL
I took the chance anyway to clean some sections in most of the fanlistings, as well as to clean dead links on affiliates in 90% of them.

Oh, and changed my collective/listings contact e-mail, again ¬¬
Fucking spammers on gmail are driving me mad. How is possible that I can send spam to myself?! Stupid spam!

As for the collective, I deleted the 300 skin, don't know why, I just got bored, probably because it didn't look as I expected.
Maybe I'll make a new one, but I am not sure if it will be another 300 one, or another subject.
I still need to check my collective affiliates, since there are lots of dead links ._.

Oh, by the way, my Castlevania fanlistings were moved to vampirekiller.net, I still have to send "moved" mails to the network staffers, affiliates and fans >_> but in case there are visitors, the old pages are going to redirect them.

The main point of this stupid title is that, as I mentioned in some older posts, the last effort of keeping alive my Castlevania shrines (Leon, Mathias, Joachim) and the general Lament/castlevania sites are being done.

I have been working offline on the site, and it's almost done, but as I mentioned in the previous "Lament of Innocence" update, I wanted/needed a new domain name for these projects, and with the hosting update, I finally managed to do it.

This post is just to let visitors know that I am working on the resurrection of those sites, and inform that everything will be now on a new domain name (under my complete control).

This is going to house my castlevania projects (and fanlistings), as well serve as the home for those 3 shrines that I loved so much, and, believe it or not, some people did too o.O

The tag for the updates on this journal has changed already for "vk".
Content will be (re)added shortly, and my fanlistings related to Castlevania will be moved to there as well.

Yes, finally I got all my sites and stuff moved to the new hosting plattaform, what I've been waiting since, march? o_O
Anyway, everything has been moved, although, I am still testing every single page. Looks like everything works fine so far...

I got more disk space! Wheee! more bandwidth (although newest plans give unlimited of both services T_T), more databases and newest versions of PERL, PHP, MySQL and all that jazz, plus, I was finally able to redirect my newest domain "vampirekiller.net" to the proper directory, so, I finally can work on it.

edit: I managed to solve the problem with my listings database errors, now everything should work smooth and cool, hahaha!
But I am still testing, testing, testing, the listings and the other sites.

Everything will be under massive testing until tomorrow, when it's supossed that the DNS spread will be 100% complete.
